Is learning the piano as an adult harder?

Piano lessons used to be for kids. But today, adults can learn how to play the piano and make progress in a surprisingly short time period. We'll go over some of the advantages and disadvantages of learning as an adult, and how long it will take you to become proficient with your instrument.

At Parkside Music Academy, we choose only the best teachers by finding musicians who are both highly educated and fun, inspiring and just simple great teachers. Each one of our teachers either holds a degree in music or is currently pursuing one. Most of them are also actively performing in the Seattle area.

Our music school was started by just one musician back in 2013. She drove around house to house teaching piano, voice and guitar lessons. We now have quite a few teachers and we are able to offer lessons for a bunch of different instruments. We want to create a way for families to connect with real musicians, giving them access to a higher level of music education and an experience that they couldn't find anywhere else. It has been an immense pleasure working with these talented musicians and seeing them inspire their students!
